This January transfer window proves to be a time of intense rumour and possible big-money deals. A number of notable stars are being linked with transfers away from their present teams. We examine a selection of the major figures that could be changing clubs in January.

Antoine Semenyo

Despite the Black Stars' inability to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, this has kept the player available, reports suggest a major move is imminent. This Bournemouth attacker possesses a deal with a sizeable buy-out clause active for a short period at the start of the month. Recent reports point to Manchester City look to have won the race for his services. Former suitors such as Chelsea and Tottenham reportedly have turned their attention to alternative targets, leaving clubs such as Manchester United or Liverpool to make a late move.

M. Guéhi

The English defender has excel for Crystal Palace despite a previous move to Anfield falling through. As his contract set to expire in the summer, this represents the club's final chance to secure a transfer fee for their skipper. A host of top sides, such as Manchester City and multiple European giants like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, are believed to hold an interest. However, a winter exit remains unlikely, particularly given the manager's dependence on the defender.

Brennan Johnson

The Wales winger has found first-team opportunities limited at Spurs this campaign. Despite being the side's leading goalscorer last season, he has begun only a small number of Premier League games. Reports suggest the London outfit would be open to a transfer for the correct price, thought to be in the region of £40 million. Kees Smit

This highly-touted Netherlands midfielder has earned comparisons to a Belgian superstar for his playing style. After starring at the U19 Euros, Smit has become a regular in the AZ side. This 19-year-old is widely tipped to complete a major move in January. Newcastle reportedly are frontrunners, but are facing stiff rivalry from the Spanish champions for a deal priced at approximately £22 million.
